What Some Days Are Like

by stewart

Some days, getting-up in the morning is like going to the dentist and having your rotting tooth pulled. You wake-up with pain, get some treatment which causes additional pain, and then, over the hours, you wait for the pain to slowly subside. That is what this morning has been like: a long, lingering headache with dull anxiety about the upcoming day.

I have lived in this body for a long time and it doesn’t seem to get easier:  I wonder why that is?  Perhaps someone has an answer for this; my answers have always been temporary.  Working for a while and then not working, turning me toward the One and the ever present Reality.

There is the headache and the One. This is my moment. This is my present awareness.
