Through the Desert

by stewart

Though many was the year

When You walked beside me

And filled me with Your peace;

Seemingly now alone, I travel through the desert

With sun burning against my face

And feet mired in melting sand.

Stumbling, I make my way,

Searching for shade

And a cool oasis pool

To rest weary body and soul;

And again rejoice, renewed,

In the healing water

Of Your Holy Name.
