The First Commandment

by stewart

And you shall love the Lord your God/Light with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.

-Mark 12:30

In this injunction, we have everything the traveler needs to complete the spiritual journey. As the spiritual traveler is able to embrace and live this creed, all things become possible. It is a complete teaching.

And because most travelers cannot do this on their own, requiring daily help; along the Way many other supports are provided.

Yet this teaching remains the very center of the journey; speaking to the spiritual traveler about turning their life through love into a living prayer.

We all strive to live up to this creed, but yes a lot of us need that extra little help along the way. Thru that love we find our way again. I know personally I would be lost without them.

Yes, without the help of the Unseen Forces we would all be lost.

and i believe the first half of the Bible verse you quoted is also in the Torah or T’nack (sp?)
i.e. the Pentateuch and “Old” Testament or Hebrew Scriptures.

Yes, I believe it is part of the 10 Commandments brought by Moses; it is the 1st Commandment here as well.
