Reaching the First Stair

by stewart

When you look around and consider those who have fallen or who are lost: have you ever wondered, what is the measure of their life?  Yes, what is the worth of a lifetime that has been spent in darkness, straining, to reach the first stair?

I tell you- we are not equipped to judge. The answer resides in boundless love. The Love of a Father/Mother who cherishes each the same; whether they are whole or lame.  A Father/Mother who smiles equally at the slightest effort or the greatest gain.

This is so true, judging does not even come into the equation. Does it solve anything? No!
We have the love to share, why are we not doing this with our children, all of our children!

I began thinking about the notion of how much an individual life was worth with my own mother. She never wanted anything more than to love her children and help them grow. How can one compare her value to that of an industrialist, giving work to thousands? Then I realized other criteria were at work and I had to look deeper for an answer. Later I realized, the worth of a life is infinite and filled with love; everyone has many, many chances as the cosmic wheel turns.
