If you have time, take a look at this week’s (10/15) Newsweek Magazine and their cover story, “My Proof of Heaven,” by Dr. Eben Alexander, neurosurgeon, who died and was in a coma for 7 days. Alexander was brain dead and always believed, as do many scientists, that the brain was the seat of our consciousness; yet, he had another level of awareness and offers wonderful personal experiences of Heaven. Alexander as a scientist he did not have much use for spirituality, until this experience. This personal awakening/adventure is presented in his forthcoming book, The Proof of Heaven. The article is worth reading; I read article at the local library and will read the book. Another spiritual traveler told me about it.

my late Husband had a near-death experience during a M I type heart attack in which He “died” (coded) 3 times and came back 4 times – this was 11 years before He did, ultimately, die, with no apparent fear.
i also had one during an experience myself when my blood sugar crashed and i was on the verge of coma, when found and saved.
Sorry i haven’t been in touch – was in the hospital for a bit with a leg infection from the diabetes.
